Description
Hi, great grooving northern soul dancer here by Kelly Garrett. Includes Love's the Only Answer b/w Knowing When to Leave on Smash Records (S-2195).
Rare Original Pressing from 1968. Produced by Jimmy Bowen for Amos Productions. Bowen has worked with Lee Hazlewood & Nancy Sinatra, Dino, Desi and Billy both on Reprise Records. Arranged by Glen D. Hardin, who has crossed paths in the studio with Brian Hyland, Gary Lewis and Gram Parsons. 'Loves Only Answer' is an excellent track! Great slight fuzzy guitar on the flipside as well, which was written by Burt Bachrach and Hal David. Garrett ( Kelly Garret) also has another amazing 45 on AVA too, 'This Heart is Haunted' is one to seek out.
Condition of record: VG+ to NM. Has excellent gloss, light marks on B-side 'Knowing,' one slight blemish. Plays fantastic.
Sounds excellent with light background noise on intros & slight pops on quieter song parts heard at loud volumes on my Panasonic home system. Groover side is golden. Sounds much better and more unnoticeable on my SL-1200s with Ortofon dj needles.Comes with original SMASH company sleeve.
Condition of label: NM. Looks very nice, clean on front and back, with very slight, minimal wear on A-side label. Colors still vibrant.
