This vinyl record has been kindly donated to raise funds for the Hospice.
KEEF HARTLEY BAND: HALFBREED (UK Stereo LP) Cover has creases, fraying and slight bend on top right corner, but overall in good condition Inside cover where the vinyl is held is coming apart (Needs easy repair) Owners signature inside the cover. Sleeve in very good condition. Vinyl in excellent condition. Please see pictures
"There seems to be an element of channeled inspiration that many of those records are often lacking. "The Halfbreed" and "Born To Die" are excursions into expert blues guitar, But they have a certain passion, that IT factor, that truly mournful blues, that you only really get to hear from the most devout torch-bearers like Roy Buchanan and Mike Bloomfield. But, where we see the bassist and drummer often falling asleep of boredom on some Buchanan tracks, this is more than a simple guitar-centric vehicle for soloing. Backed by a powerhouse rhythm section and perfectly '60s harpsichord, every song is a veritable pressure cooker of heavy-handed musicianship. "Just To Cry" is one of the coolest slow-burner blues cuts I've ever heard. This record just flat-out rules. Turn it up and enjoy."
