KATHE GREEN, RUN THE LENGTH OF YOUR WILDNESS, 1969 LP, RARE UK STEREO PRESSING

This is the very rare, original BRITISH STEREO pressing of Kathe Green's remarkable debut LP, RUN THE LENGTH OF YOUR WILDNESS. Released in the summer of 1969 on DERAM RECORDS #SML 1039, this version of the record is very hard to find and rarely offered for sale.

The copy usually sold is the American reissue, DES 18026, which was pressed in the USA and has a gatefold cover with both the DERAM and LONDON logos in the bottom right corner. I am selling the ORIGINAL stereo version of the record (SML 1039) which was pressed in ENGLAND and has just the DERAM logo in the upper left corner, nothing in the bottom right corner and no gatefold cover.

Also, note the colored dot on the back near the upper right corner (not present on the American reissue) which indicates whether the record is in stereo (blue dot) or mono (red dot). This is the blue dot STEREO version which is considered the more difficult version to find.

Outer cardboard sleeve is bright, clean and glossy, as seen in the scan, with some very minor wrinkling in the upper left and upper right corners, a three quarter inch tear on the left edge of the back and some wear along the top and bottom edges of the back. As with many British LPs from this era, the paper inner sleeve has a clear poly lining which tends to minimze seam slits. This sleeve has a two inch upper tear on one side and some minor wear around the edges. The record itself is in EXCELLENT condition with no visual flaws, and it plays fine.

This record includes Kathe Green's amazing single "PRIMROSE HILL", a recording considered by many to be well ahead of its time with its string-dominated orchestration and Green's stunning vocals. Listen to a clip of this track below from the actual record for sale.
