Junior Byles – ‘It’s Boring’ / ‘One Love’ – Observer 12” (JA)
Insanely rare Junior Byles twelve-inch, produced by ‘Niney’ the Observer in the late 1970s, in very good condition; two unique recordings (and proof, it would appear, that Mr. Byles did make it to London at some point). Although ‘One Love’ is the designated A-side, it’s the haunting ‘It’s Boaring’ [sic] that carries the day, in my opinion. There are no dubs as such, but each side segues into a version by an uncredited but familiar-sounding DJ (Dillinger perhaps?); the titles would appear to be ‘Christmas Season’ and ‘Nebuchadnezzar’, respectively. A very scarce record, this; can’t remember ever seeing one for sale, so don’t miss it!Condition: VG+ or thereabouts; visually there are some scuffs and tiny marks, but for a couple of tiny clicks I can’t really fault the sound (please listen to the clips). Clean labels but for some tiny stains, and with the title info stamped on both sides (please see scans).

Please note that like many other sellers of reggae on eBay, I’ve been the victim of so called ‘fake bidders’, bad minded people with no intention of purchasing the item they bid on and whose only game seems to be to ruin the auction for buyers and sellers alike. If your feedback is zero, please get in touch with me before bidding, or unfortunately I will have to cancel your bid.
In the event that the record is won by a ‘fake bidder’, to save some time, I will sell it to the second highest bidder before attempting to relist it. Obviously, the second highest bid will have been raised, as it were, artificially by the ‘fake bidder’. To the extent that it’s possible, when making a Second Chance offer, I will try to lower the selling price to one increment above the third highest bid by way of offering a discount or free shipping (or both).
