Description

Here's a scarce one-Ezra Buzzington's Rustic Revelers, playing as

Sam Perry's Rube Band, does "Brown Jug Blues" on 78rpm

Supertone 9039. This is take 14153-A. Electrobeam Gennett 6575 and

Champion 15581 used take 14153-B.


Frank Kettering plays the jug.


On the reverse side, they do "Bass Blues." This is take 14154.

Electrobeam Gennett 6575 and Champion 15581 used take 14154-A.


Both sides were recorded in Richmond Indiana on August 18, 1928.


The record is in excellent-minus (E-) condition, however there is a

1.25" tight edge crack making light ticks. Scratch makes noise

for a couple of grooves on the A side.
