Description

Title:  Joy Division “Warsaw” Red Vinyl + John Peel Session Single (Orange) VERY RARE

Starting Price: £15 - low starting price!

Record Condition: Excellent

Cover Condition: Very Good

Postage: Please see postage rates at the bottom of the advert. Please note that I do not post to the Russian Federation. Although I include the Russian Federation in the exclusion list, e-Bay does not. I can only assume there is a bug in the system!

Record: The final is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. I bought this, I think, in 1981 at a record fair in Nottingham.  It was also released as picture disc, but I wanted the coloured vinyl; this copy is on translucent red vinyl.  The record was placed in an anti-static sleeve on purchase to protect it.  It has been played on a Linn turntable and sounds very good, although it does have some crackling and pops at the beginning and inbetween tracks. This is the one of the earliest version of this album, and is VERY RARE - it has RZM Productions Ltd printed on the bottom of the label. Clean labels with no obvious marks of any kind, or any writing.

1.    "All of This”

2.    "Leaders of Men"

3.    "They Walked in Line"

4.    "Failures"

5.    "Novelty"

6.    "No Love Lost"

7.    "Transmission"

8.    "Living in the Ice Age"

9.    "Interzone"

10. "Warsaw"

11. "Shadowplay"

EP:  The record also came with a bonus RP on translucent orange vinyl.  This has four tracks from the first John Peel session. It is in excellent condition; possibly only played twice.

1.    “Excite One”

2.    “Insight”

3.    She’s Lost Control”

4.    “Transmission”

Cover:  Black and white glossy sleeve. "Warsaw" on spine. In fabulous condition with one exception: some of the gloss has pulled away from the edge of the cover - please see photograph.

History:  Named after a David Bowie song from his album” Low” this was planned to be Joy Division’s debut album. Recorded in May 1978 it consisted of eleven tracks, however the band was disappointed by the post-production done by RCA producers and the album was scrapped.
