Description
Joy Division - "Unknown Pleasures" vinyl LP. This is the very first UK pressing with the textured cover and printed inner sleeve with rounded corners. Black vinyl. Spectacular all-analog sound quality; I compared this to an original US pressing, and it blew the US copy out of the water. The matrix info is as follows:
Side A: FACT 10 - INSIDE! - A A PORKY PRIME CUT STEP
Side B: FACT-10 - OUTSIDE! - B - S-36 THIS IS THE WAY A PORKY PRIME CUT
On the bottom right of the back cover, it states, in small font: "Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd."
Cover is VG with ring wear, some edge wear, and a diagonal scratch on the front cover (see pics).
Vinyl (visually graded) is in very nice, ultra-glossy VG+ condition. It looks virtually perfect at a glance, but when held under a bright light, small superficial scuffs (probably sleeve scuffs*) can be seen here and there. Vinyl is perfectly flat, with no warps of any kind.
The thick, printed inner sleeve is VG, with slight yellowing due to age, very faint ring wear, a 3" seam split on the right side, and very tiny little tears and creases in the back of the open side.
All in all, this is a nice copy of one of the greatest records of all time, a masterpiece of melancholia. A keeper, for sure!
Also, you may have noticed that I listed and then deleted a copy of this record, so I suppose an explanation is warranted. What happened was this: I accidentally listed my personal copy instead of my spare copy!
* Several copies of this record have passed through my hands over the years, and they've all had sleeve scuffs to some degree. I doubt there are many copies out there without sleeve scuffs, simply because the original inner is thick, and probably not particularly kind to vinyl sliding in and out of it.

I pack in sturdy cardboard LP mailers. When shipping, I will package the record outside of the jacket, so as to avoid seam splits.
Shipping within the US is $4.00 via media mail, $9.50 via Priority. This includes delivery confirmation and online tracking. * Bonus* - If you choose the media mail option within the US, not only will I combine shipping, but I'll combine it for an infinite amount of records. In other words, shipping would be only $4 no matter how many are in the box. It's a win-win: you get cheap shipping, and I don't have to pack as many boxes!
Shipping to Canada is $12.50. Elsewhere internationally (except for a few places--see below*), including Western Europe, Japan and Australia, it is $19.50

*If you live in Italy, Russia, Greece, China or Brazil (or other places outside of Western Europe), shipping will likely be very expensive, although please contact me to make sure, because I may allow exceptions. This is because I have had trouble with packages either taking a very long time or never arriving at all, and this is how much it costs to get it tracked and insured.
