Up for auction I have a UK original pressing of Joy Division's legendary debut album Unknown Pleasures released on Manchesters Factory Records.Catalogue number is Fact 10. The vinyl I have graded as being in an excellent condition with only light hairline surface marks caused by the record being removed from its heavyish card inner sleeve.Outer sleeve is in excellent- condition with the usual light ringwear so typical of this sleeve.Look at the pic of the spine,it's in very good condition indeed I'm sure you'll agree!The rounded corner inner sleeve again is in excellent- condition(some light finger marks,again common with this record).Copies with the rounded inner sleeve are becoming increasingly scarce,especially in this condition.

Please note that the vinyl does NOT show up reddish/purple when held up to the light.Those copies are becoming near impossible to locate these days,but rest assured this is a very nice copy of this original UK pressing.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

MINT :
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed be Mint.

EXCELLENT :
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD :
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

I may use a + or a - to emphasise a grading which may be inbetween a grade. I will never use a mint grading for a 2nd hand/used record for instance. Mint- will be the very highest grade.
