Description

Joy Division - Closer  FACT 25

Hand etched matrix marks A1/B1, FIRST UK Pressing. "Old Blue?" also hand etched in dead wax on Side 1.

12" LP  with smooth sleeve and inner picture sleeve square corners, all original from 1980.

This LP is a translucent purple/red when held up to a strong light - very collectable and the true mark of a genuine first pressing.
I am not a dealer, this is part of my own personal collection which I am disposing of.   I played it before listing it on ebay on a Sherwood PS1870 turntable and headphones and it plays well.   There were no skips or any other undesirable  issues - there are the usual slight surface noise effects that we expect with vinyl but nothing that detracts from the listening experience. I only notice it now that I am more used to listening to CDs or MP3s.

The original Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve with square corners inner is in good overall condition but does have dark ring wear showing up on the white cover - I have attempted to show this up in the photos by taking the picture from a low angle.  Square on it doesn't look so bad.

There are a couple of  minor visible marks and a small depression  in the vinyl (a manufacturing defect that was there on day 1 )- this does not affect the playback.

I always try to highlight any defects or issues so you know exactly what you are bidding on.

If you are the winning bidder please note that you can return it, in the same condition you received it for a full refund less postage and packing, if not 100% satisfied. This is in addition to the normal ebay guarantee
