Screen Grand Orchestra – The Glorious Western (Film Soundtracks LP) (1971)
Good Japanese import stereo.
Featuring major movie themes performed by the Screen Grand Orchestra.
This album has never had a release on CD so this remains the only available source for this album.
Condition VINYL: G+. Looks fantastically clean on visual inspection. A few marks, scuffs and hairlines on each side but nothing major and no deep scratches. These don’t affect playback. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is good throughout – and very good in places. Light crackling, static and clicking at run-ins. A few clicks, pops and mild surface noise through side 1. Side 2 fares better. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. An enjoyable listen to these themes despite interference. OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: VG. Colours are clear and unfaded. Thick matt sleeve card. Cover photo of John Wayne looks unfaded. Very mild buckling to corners, but edges, aperture and spine in great shape. Text in Japanese only here and no track info except on disc labels (including English translation). Back cover has age-related light foxing and staining. No other obvious defects to sleeve. A nice example overall. INNER SLEEVE: EX. Clear D-shaped poly sleeve. Crinkling, folds and creases but intact.
