Description

This is the original Van Gelder-stamped mono "P" pressing of John Patton "Along Came John" on the blue and white New York labels of Blue Note BLP 4130. There have been no documented 2-sided deep-groove pressings of this recording. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice. The original inner sleeve is included. The laminated cover (with New York 23 address) is in extraordinary condition - bright and clean throughout with just ¼" wear on the top seam, at the opening. Personnel includes Fred Jackson, Harold Vick, Grant green, and Ben Dixon.
