A side: hand inscribed ILPS 9226 A - 1U and stamped (tiny characters) STERLING 2H 2
B side: stamped  ILPS 9226 B - 1U and stamped STERLING 1H 2 (tiny, again)



Rather than try to emulate the vague grading systems used commonly on Ebay (some surface noise or none?....Which tracks affected?..etc), records on offer have been played through (some for the first time since acquisition years ago!) with any surface noise noted.
Equipment used:  Garrard 301, AT1500 arm, Denon 110 cart, valve disc stage. 'Tick' = low level, occaisional and mostly only heard during quiet passages.



Record
Side 1  Some ticks during track 1 and between tracks. Few ticks during quiet sections of track 4.
Side 2  Ticks during run-in (as ever), few at end of track 1, couple on track 2 and between tracks. Playing through cleanly with very few signs of age, John Martyn's unusual vocal style clearly there for all to hear!


Inner sleeve
Original blue Island poly lined sleeve included. After review play record placed in new poly lined inner.

Cover 
Gatefold very good condition generally, with slight wear to corners and inside base of spine (see photo's 2 & 3)
plus some lightly abraded loss of black surface on top and bottom edges. Faint ringwear on back cover.
