Description

Ok, we inherited two boxes of vinyl records off a man who was ex-military and kind of obsessively organised. He kept all of his stuff in immaculate condition, stored properly (as in shoes polished with shoe stretchers, underwear ironed and folded etc.) and it seems his record collection was no exception. He was an extremely intelligent man with high-end tastes, so I suspect he knew what he was doing when collecting jazz vinyl, something he was passionate about.

The records have been stored in a spare room in closed record boxes for several years.

Please forgive my ignorance when choosing categories and talking about vinyl. I have handled all the vinyl wearing gloves and examined them under natural light for scratches and damage. I have read up a lot about vinyl and am perusing Discogs. I have even visited my local record shop for advice on how to visual inspect records. However, sadly, we do not have a record player nor the time to play the records to check for pops or damage so the quality stated on here is based on visual inspection only.

Of course, even if a record looks in excellent condition it might not play well, so buyers buy at their own risk. I will give as honest a visual inspection of the records as I can.

Also I am too scared to clean the records myself and will leave that to the buyer. Everywhere I read online recommends cleaning vinyl first before playing so please please do that! These vinyls do have dust particles on which move when I move my gloved finger over them.

He had lots of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Archie Shepp, Ornette Coleman Trio, Albert Ayler, Cecil Taylor, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, and LOADS more so please keep an eye on our other listed items.

I am posting these in proper LP Mailers which are 40p each so postage works out at £3.35 1st class + 40p = £3.75

Each LP mailer can hold up to 3 LPs so if you buy more than one I am happy to readjust the postage accordingly. I take the inner sleeve and Vinyl out of the outer sleeve when posting.

Happy buying and I really hope these once loved records go to a new home where they are appreciated.
