This is Historic Performance Records HPLP #6, John Coltrane Quartet Blue Trane 1963, an orange cover and label original mono issue of this historic live session from November 22, 1963 featuring the classic quartet. The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The original plain orange cover has been labeled with the proper session information, and is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are also labeled as to issue and side, and are otherwise excellent. A copy of the original advertising for the entire series will be included for the winner. This is a wonderful collector's grade copy of a historic issue of a historic concert. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
