Description

This is Impulse Records A-21, John Coltrane - Coltrane, an orange and black label, original mono issue with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax.  The record is in VG+(+) condition showing light marks on both sides but playing quietly throughout, with no distortion , pops or skips. The glossy original gate-fold cover (and original inner sleeve) has bumps on the corners, a 3" split on the bottom seam, magic marker on the cover and back, and a name in pen on the back. Still, an excellent entry copy of this collectible original issue which has been my personal copy for many years. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping on multiple orders.
