Description
Up for sale is a beautiful copy of the John Coltrane Ascension LP released on Impulse! Records in 1965. The laminated gatefold cover is in excellent condition with some minor imperfections preventing it from being near mint. It is very clean and white with only a hint of yellowing in some areas, most noticeably on the left side on the back. There is also a small indentation on the bottom of the back cover. The corners are nice and sharp except for the top left which has a little bit of wear. The inside of the gatefold is virtually spotless with no writing, age spots, or other marks. The record is in excellent condition as well. It is bright and shiny with strong gloss and clean labels. Looking at it under bright sunlight I could only see superficial marks on both sides from the paper sleeve. It plays very strong and clear throughout, with minor surface noise mostly audible in quiet parts and no skips or jumps. As a bonus it was recently cleaned at my local record store.
