Description

JOHN COLTRANE – A LOVE SUPREME 1974 U.S. ABC/Impulse! Stereo Gatefold Reissue • AS-77 / A-77

A Love Supreme is John Coltrane’s defining spiritual statement and one of the central works in the history of jazz. Recorded with the classic quartet of McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones, the four-part suite moves from the searching opening motif of “Acknowledgement” through “Resolution,” “Pursuance” and “Psalm.” Its combination of modal improvisation, emotional intensity and deeply focused ensemble playing has made it essential listening for jazz collectors and serious music fans.

This copy is the 1974 U.S. ABC/Impulse! stereo gatefold reissue, catalog numbers AS-77 / A-77, with the distinctive green/purple target labels. The vinyl has been ultrasonic cleaned and fully play graded and sounds excellent throughout. Its exceptionally clean appearance and strong playback make this a particularly desirable copy, paired with a very presentable VG+ gatefold cover.
