Black label with 3 colored VIK logo, deep groove, mono. 11 tracks. Leader, Joe Newman, trumpet; Frank Wess, flute; Freddie Green, guitar; Barry Galbraith, electric guitar; Hank Jones, piano, organ (on 1 track); Ed Jones, bass; Osie Johnson, drums. Recorded in NY at 3 sessions in 1956,
Cover: VG 1" split on the bottom edge. Small word written in the the spine corner of the back cover. Light aging on the back cover with light, partial record ring on the back cover. Some wear on the spine with the loss of a small amount of paper near the top of the spine.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No marking on the record surface. Track 1, Side 1 has 1 click. On Track 4, 3 or 4 faint clicks, barely audible. Faint groove noise on the last 3 or 4 revolutions on Track 5. On Side 2, 1 or 2 faint clicks on Tracks 1 and 5 and faint groove noise for 1 revolution. Graded conservatively. Audibly checked.
