Description
Original pressing of "Jazz in Transition" on Transition TRLP 30. The music consists of seven unissued tracks, recorded between l955 and l956, for one of the most collectable labels of the post-war era. The record, booklet and laminated cover are in truly remarkable near-new condition: the record has both its labels intact, with a high luster and nearly immaculate playing surface; the original booklet is as close to new as could be imagined; the laminated (front) cover is bright and clean throughout, with perfect seams and sharp corners; just the slightest rubbing at the corners.
Personnel includes John Coltrane, Cecil Taylor, Sun Ra, and Donald Byrd.
