Description

Recorded in Paris in 1951 for Vogue Records, 8 tracks. Moody, alto and tenor sax, in an unusual setting. The group includes unidentifed artists on flute, clarinet, French horns, strings, and harp. 8 tracks in a more modern, "impressionistic", framework which includes Raymond Fol, piano; Pierre Michelot, bass; Pierre Lamarchant, drums; Pepita Riebe, bongo. Arranged and conducted by Andre Hodier. Rare issue. Cover: VG++ or Better Intact. Tiny tear mark in the upper corner near the insert edge. Light aging on the back cover. Small tear at the bottom of the notes on the back cover. This is a relatively minor tear of about 1" X 1/2" and does not effect the text on the back cover. Record: VG(-) Visually shows moderate wear with a number of surface rub marks on both sides of the record. This results in a persistant background of light crackling and a few more pronounced clicks. The described noise is throughout but seems to fade a bit when the playing is louder, One should expect to hear surface noise. Audibly checked.
