Description

JAM SESSION #2, Mercury MGC-602,blue label, deep groove pressing. Cover art by David Stone Martin.

On this 1952 recording, the musicians are Charlie Shavers (trumpet), Charlie Parker, Johnny Hodges, Benny Carter (alto sax), Ben Webster, Flip Phillips (tenor sax), Oscar Peterson (piano), Barney Kessel (guitar), Ray Brown (bass), J. C. Heard (drums).
The tunes are What Is This Thing Called Love, Funky Blues.

Condition of record is E-, some very light scuffing, no scratches, a few spindle marks, plays very well with minimal surface noise. Jacket shows some overall wear, no seam splits.

E = Excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect.
V = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.

Shipments are made on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Records which have been paid for by 3:00 PM on Fridays and Mondays will be shipped on the next shipping day.;
