Firstly I got this album as part of a sixties, seventies job lot about 15 years ago. I took one look at the credit notes and dismissed it and filed it away un- listened in the loft. It's only now that I'm having a clear out that I have played it for the first time. One online site described the album as one of the rarest British PHYCHADELIC folk albums made. This is what I have found out. Just Others were a formed in Maidstone Kent sometime in the early seventies, they were a Acoustic duo. Everything about this album says, a bunch of amatures. There was no big studio or production here. The record label is Goodwill recordings. The matrix Nu A / B with no following numbers indicating a one off press and I very much suspect a private press. The credit notes are on a separate sheet and contains a hand written message from one of the artists.... The music itself is a dreamey PHYCHADELIC hippy acoustic sound, and I would have to say some of the tracks are what I would call twee. But the rest are a little bit special. My ears pricked up on track 3 side 1 " Lady Anne ". But the best track on the album, by a country mile is " Night ". In my humble opinion it's up there with any Fairport Convention, The Trees or Nick Drake have put out. I noticed there are a few tracks off the album up loaded on one site, so you may be able to check them out.
