IMPORTANT NOTE

This item is from the record & ephemera collection of Mike Jordan, a highly respected and much-loved New England booking agent.  Jordan booked many big-name Jazz acts at the renowned Providence, RI jazz club, Allary.  The items from this collection date from the late 1950s thru the late 1970s and include everything from records (45s, 10", EPs, LPs) to ephemera (photographs, autographs, letters from musicians, original contracts, handbills, clippings, etc). Musicians who played at Allary include: Pepper Adams, George Coleman, Frank Foster, Frank Strozier, Bob Mover, Mike Murphy, Roy Haynes, Zoot Sims, Johnny Hartman, among many others. Jordan's collection includes ephemera from these musicians as well as Jordan's close friends  Jackie McLean, Clifford Jordan, Art Farmer, and Sonny Rollins.  This collection also includes items from Jordan's friend Bernie Moss, who was affiliated with Boston's Jazz Workshop.
