Description

J.R. Monterose on Blue Note. J.R. Monterose (tenor sax), Ira Sullivan (trumpet), Horace Silver (piano), Wilbur Ware (bass), Philly Joe Jones (drums). Titles: Wee Jay; The Third; Bobbie Pin; Marc V; KA-Link; Beauteous
Blue Note BLP1536 (mono)
Very rare original Blue Note with the usual Blue Note extra thick card cover. The cover is in fairly good condition for its age. There is some fading and the edges are worn in places but no Sellotape at edges. No bent corners, cut-outs, writing, etc. The LP itself has no visible scratch marks, I have not been able to play it. Both labels and back cover give the address 767 Lexington Avenue, NYC. The LP has the deep groove with "RVG" and "P" symbol etched in the dead wax. It does not have the characteristic Blue Note inner sleeve, being a plain white one.
