Description
Very rare bundle of very rare Joy Division releases featuring an original copy of the 1979 EARCOM 2 compilation 12” and the 1980 Komakino flexi disc.
The discs:
EARCOM 2: CONTRADICTION
Earcom 2: Contradiction is an EP of six tracks by three different bands, released in October 1979 on the Fast Product label. But, as good as Basczax were (seriously – check out their Madison Fallout / Auto Mekanik Destructor 7”), this release is only collectable 38 years later because it features two otherwise unavailable Joy Division tracks (they later made it onto the Substance compilation).
The Joy Division tracks, Auto-Suggestion and From Safety to Where...? are outtakes from the Unknown Pleasures album sessions, produced by Martin Hannett in 1979.

KOMAKINO 7” FLEXI DISC
The three tracks on this EP, Komakino, Incubation and As You Said were all out-takes from the sessions for Joy Division’s final album, Closer, and were released in July 1980 by Factory Records as a 7" flexi disc given away free in selected record stores.
Incubation and As You Said are both instrumentals and all tracks were later given wider release on the compilations Substance and Heart & Soul.

Condition:
EARCOM2 - The 12" vinyl is in very good condition. The sleeve is a little worn and has a slight split in the inner sleeve (see last photo)
KOMKINO - The 7" flexi is in excellent condition with no folds or creases. Plays perfectly.
