Description

A FACTORY SAMPLE - FAC2 - FACTORY RECORDS.

This is the original and first vinyl release by Factory Records from January 1979 - Catalogue number FAC 2 - and features the following bands / tracks :-

- JOY DIVISION : 'Digital' + 'Glass'     

- THE DURUTTI COLUMN : 'No Communication' + 'Thin Ice (detail)'

- JOHN DOWIE : 'Acne' + 'Idiot' + 'Hitler's Liver'

- CABARET VOLTAIRE : 'Baader-Meinhof' + 'Sex in Secret'

Sadly NO Stickers are present - but this double 7" is in great condition, especially considering the flimsy sleeve design and also that this item is over 27 years old!!

I've just played all sides, and here is an accurate grading :-

The Joy Division and Durutti Column sounds great - both very clean! Run-off grooves state 'Everything' on the Aside, and 'Is Repairable' on the Beside.

The Cabaret Voltaire and John Dowie disc has some occassional surface noise most noticable on the first track on each side - nothing too major though - no scratches/skips etc.

The labels are all clean - as is the sleeve (no tears/rips/etc - although there is some ringwear, which is to be expected - and also a small P sticker on the rear - see pics).

I've owned three of these, and this one is by far in the best condition !!

Classic Factory Records design utilized for this ground-breaking release - this is really where it started for both Joy Division and Factory !!
