Description

This auction is for an original pressing of Factory Records first ever release.

A rare opportunity to own A Factory Sample 2 x 7" E.P. on the Factory label, catalogue number FAC 2 as there

can't be many around now that are complete with all 5 original stickers and the fragile gatefold sleeve.

Released on 24th December 1978 this was a compilation of four Factory bands, most notably Joy Division

but also including tracks by The Durutti Column, John Dowie and Cabaret Voltaire.

I can confirm that this record has all the hallmarks of an original copy :-

  The discs have the groove notations "Everything is repairable. Everything is broken"

  All 5 stickers are included

  The matrix numbers are small and handwritten

  The sleeve is made of thin paper 14" x 14" which has been folded in half and shrinkwrapped.

The discs have some very light surface scratches but are perfectly flat.

The sleeve has ring wear and some slight creases (see scan).
