Description
Here it is up for auction! Joy Division "An Ideal For Living" EP, released on Enigma records in 1978. Songs are: 1. Warsaw 2. No Love Lost 3. Leaders of Men 4. Failures. I acquired this incredibly rare record on eBay in June 2001. The record was shipped to me in the U.S. from England. The seller had owned it since 1984. I don't know how the seller acquired it. This is definitely the original, not a copy! Please look at the photos to see for yourself. The vinyl is in very good condition. There are some surface scratches, but no skips when playing the record. There are pops and crackles which give it that warm vinyl sound. I just played it for the second time since I've owned it, and as we all know, there's something very special about this band. Lots of history behind this record! The front panel of the 4 panel cover has yellowed a bit. (Previous owner). The right crease of the front cover is heavily yellowed and a bit worn. (Also previous owner). The photos I've provided display the yellowing of the cover and also show some of the characteristics which identify the record as being the "real thing." The labels on the record are flat black and not shiny at all. There is only about 1 mm between the copyright message on the edge of the label and the vinyl. The matrix numbers in the run-off grooves are very small and signed by EG. The Side 1 matrix numbers read PSS-139-EP-A-1 with EG a couple of inches past that. Side 2 matrix numbers read PSS-139-EP-B-1 with EG a couple of inches past that. The matrix numbers and EG on both sides are very small, (1mm), and have not been scratched into the vinyl.
