Description

This auction is for an original pressing of Joy Division's first ever release.

A rare opportunity to own An Ideal For Living 7" E.P. on the Enigma label, catalogue number PSS 139.

Released in June 1978 by Joy Division, this original pressing was limited to

just 1000 copies and comes with the original 14" x 14" fold out sleeve.

I can confirm that this record has all the hallmarks of an original copy :-

  The labels are matt black and surrounded by a serrated edge

  The matrix numbers are small and handwritten

  It has "EG" marked in the run off groove

  The copyright message is very close to the edge of the labels

  The sleeve is made of thick matt card, with distinct dots visible on the graphics

  There are even score marks visible where the band folded the sleeve

The disc has some surface scratches but plays without jumping and is perfectly flat.

The sleeve has light ring wear and just some faint handling marks (see scan) otherwise clean with no creases.
