ATTENTION JAPANESE 1970s JAZZ REISSUES AND 1960s AMERICAN MODERN JAZZ COLLECTORS!
HERE IS A VERY RARE ALBUM THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE AS A JAPANESE REISSUE WHICH COULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN PRINT FOR LONG AND WAS PROBABLY VERY EXPENSIVE TO GET IN 1976. "JOHNNY GRIFFIN'S STUDIO JAZZ PARTY".
As the title suggests this is an informal session with a small audience and a jam session featuring a Quintet with an enthusistic and amusing introduction by Babs Gonzales. RECORDED IN TRUE STEREO IN SEPTEMBER 1960 AND ISSUED ON THE RIVERSIDE LABEL RLP 9338. THIS JAPANESE REISSUE FROM 1978 REPLICATED THE ORIGINAL COVER AND HAS AN ADDITIONAL INSERT PRINTED(MOSTLY) IN JAPANESE.
THIS COPY HAS HARDLY BEEN USED AND IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.DELUXE SOUND QUALITY! THE COVER HAS NO CREASES,WRITING,RIPS OR REPAIRS.
