Description
"The first four songs on Unchained come from the songbooks of Beck, Don Gibson, Soundgarden, and Jimmie Rodgers. What might look like absurdly unsupportable eclecticism in other artists, of course, is pretty much standard stuff for Cash. Unchained is hardly standard, though; it's more like the best album he's made since his 1984 departure from Columbia Records. Not only is this a stack of songs perfectly and idiosyncratically suited to the man, they're given door-rattling backing treatment by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, who prove as fitting for Cash's music as his own Tennessee Two were." - Rickey Wright.
This is the Johnny Cash "Unchained" vinyl lp record released by American Records in 1996.
The vinyl features fourteen tracks. The lp is packaged in a card sleeve with two paper inner sleeves: on is plain white and the other features artwork & liner notes. The lp is brand new, has never been played and has no surface marks that I can detect. The only reason I have listed this item as "used" is because the sleeve has a few minuscule scuffs & marks here & there, but these are only really noticeable upon close inspection. This vinyl has been deleted by the record label for some time now which means it has become something of a rarity and I have seen other copies sell recently for more than £40 so don't miss your chance to grab a collectable item at a bargain price. This item would make a welcome addition to any Johnny Cash/ Tom Petty/ Will oldham/ etc fan's collection!Buy with confidence: If you purchase an item from me that has a fault then please get in touch by sending a message and I will do everything within my power to rectify the situation. I always endeavour to be eco-friendly by using recycled packaging as often as possible, but if you insist on having your item dispatched in brand new unused packaging then please get in touch before paying. I am not affluent enough to offer free postage on my items, but I do my best to keep postage prices to a minimum by referring to the Royal Mail website.
