This is the UK Original of 'Solid Air' by John Martyn. This rare press is complete with the earliest Island pink rim label, the Sterling stamp in the runout and the matt gatefold MacNeill press sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a stunning high gloss, with a couple of light marks and a few faint hairlines on both sides. On playing the sound is extremely rich and clear, with just a little occassional noise. The pink rim Island label is immaculate - completely clean with bold colours, bright white and clear text. There is NO spindle wear.
The matt gatefold MacNeill press sleeve is in Very Good condition. The black is bold and the image is sharp. There is just a little light wear and some corner wear. The white text is still bright and the edges are firm. The inside and back have a little ring wear but are otherwise bold and bright. The whole cover feels solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
