Description

On offer here is a RARE album by the Composer, Conductor and Arranger - John Gregory and his Orchestra

Please note: All records are graded in accordance with Record Collector standards. Records are played on high quality equipment and reviewed by an experienced trader. Packaging is of the highest quality, records are packed outside the sleeve in order to minimise seam splitting, in addition,they are packed between 2 cardboard stiffeners and mailed in a new 12" professional record mailer.

  • The album was released in 1974 on the United Artists label. It has become quite rare over the past few years mainly due to the eloborate packaging associated with the album, of which, more later.  Recorded in London with his own orchestra and in places overdubbed crowd noises, this album was ahead of the genre at the time of release. Gregory, through this release attemped, and achieved to take what was considered Easy Listening music to a new audience. As an avid rock/jazz fan I can relate to this music, it's very inventive, played to the highest standard and challenging.
  • The record is in Excellent condition. There are some light spindle marks and the usual scuffing associated with taking the record in and out of the sleeve. The overall sound quality is exceptionally good throughout. There are no scratches - clicks, pops of jumps. A nice clean copy that has been well looked after.
  • The record labels are clean - no pen marks
  • Matrix Numbers are - UAG 29546 A2/B2
  • The sleeve is quite something. The record is housed in a standard white inner, which is the housed in a full colour inner depicting Gregory's face, that then slots into the dye cut outer sleeve creating a unique overall design. In addition, there is a card inner with detailed notes on the artist. The sleeve is classified as Excellent +, the spine is clearly readable, all edges and corners are intact. There are no tears or wear to the dye cut front sleeve, this is in exceptionally good condition. You won't be dissapointed with this item - bid with utter confidence.
