JOE MCPHEE Trinity Orig LP 1971 PRIVATE PRESS Very rare!
Beautiful copy of this heavyweight private press side from saxophonist Joe McPhee. This marks his second appearance on vinyl after Nation Time. Trinity presents some beautifully spiritualised fire music with McPhee testifying on tenor, soprano, trumpet and pocket cornet over Mike Kull’s piano (electric and acoustic) and Harold E. Smith’s drums. A massive private press side and a major rarity. Vinyl is in great condition, a conservative Ex+ while the sleeve is Ex+ except for some writing in pen on the back near the top, probably by a radio station, noting its identity as “November 1971 Coltrane Style Avant and a small time-listing under the second side. A beautiful copy.
