Description

Hi everyone !

Todays listings will be somewhat common, and some that are not very common These are part of my record collection that spans OVER 30 years!!! My collection contains mostly 45’s and quite a lot of 78's, and quite a few goodies on 33's, too !! (sorry , no classical music, though).

Notice to buyers : You will notice my even LOWER starting bid prices, so that EVERYONE can afford to own these great records. Perfect for buying, trading, and selling !!!        And each record will come in it's own paper sleeve.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT ????      I FINALLY DECIDED TO LIST THIS !!!     The GRAND LADY OF THEM ALL!!!   ABSOLUTE INVESTMENT PROPERTY OF THE RAREST DEGREE .      SHE NEEDS NO INTRODUCTION;    After all,   she is  an ORIGINAL  1927  BLACK PATTI  !!!!!!      The publication for 78 rpm enthusiasts  called  "78 quarterly" featured an artical about THIS VERY RECORD, with picture,  and stated that there are only 2 known,  and this may be one of them (I WISH I could remember what exact date publication that was - but I PROMISE you I am NOT lying!!)    Piano accompanied by Blind James Beck .  Remember, BLACK PATTI only put out about 55 records and ALL of them were made in just the one year, 1927.   AND,  they only made a handful of each title at that !!!!   Record number on this disc is  8041 , and  the recording date was  July 11, 1927 .    Songs are;    Jockey Blues     and the second side is  Texas bound blues .     This is electrically recorded and the labels are in visual EXCELLENT SHAPE !!!!        Playing surfaces are a visual  VG-/VG and there are NO chips, flakes, cracks , deep scratches.     I CAN NOT over emphasize the true rarity and African american history that this record carries with it.    Odds are near 100 % you'll  NEVER SEE THIS RECORD AGAIN!!!!    PLEASE BID ACCORDINGLY !

This auction and more to follow will have quite a few RARE and EXCEPTIONAL discs. See my other items !!!

ALWAYS REMEMBER I grade very strict, and very honestly of ALL that I sell. I will do my best to represent the description of the merchandise as best that I can, and try not to leave anything out. In the event that there is any information that I missed, and if you should EVER have ANY questions regarding ANY of my collection that I am selling, PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO ASK ME !!! I will ALWAYS respect the fact that you need to know as much about what you’re buying, so that you can make an educated decision. This will apply to ANY records at ANY time, that I sell And all are made in the great U.S.of A. !!!!

 I visually grade all my records very conservatively with a 10-point grading system: AND, all of my records are free of tape, writing, tears, stains, warps, stickers, number stickers, unless otherwise noted. I will NEVER sell ANY record at ANY time that is lower than a grade 4 (because I don’t have any !!)

 Here's what the grading means:

10 = MINT

 9 = Near MINT

8 = Better than VG, But below NM

7 = Very Good

6 = Better than Good, But below Very Good

5 = GOOD

4 = Better than Poor, but below Good

3 = POOR

2 = Really trashed

 1 = Frisbee !!

 I will now, for your information, give you a description of the Grading conditions that I have placed on these records :

MINT = Never played, awesome surfaces with NO defects !!

N MINT = Beautiful labels, beautiful playing surfaces, but has been played slightly

VG + = Same as above, but played a bit more. Just a small amount of VERY SLIGHT / light surface scratches.

VG = Labels clean, but VERY SLIGHT ring wear. Playing surfaces show a little bit more light surface scratches / or very light surface scuffs.

VG - = Labels have light / medium ring wear, light surface scratches/ or scuffs. Has been played quite a bit.

G + = Labels have medium to heavy ring wear, many light surface scratches/ or many scuffs. Has been played alot, but still is an exceptable copy.

G = Labels have wear, and some wear damage. Surface scuffs and scratches are quite prevelent ( I will RARELY sell any of these, unless it is rare !!).

FOR EVERYONE; I will always combine orders, and you will save SO MUCH $$ !!!

FOR EVERYONE; I will always combine orders, and you will save SO MUCH $$ !!!

FEEDBACK Feedback is the most effective way to either praise or destroy a persons reputation. I always make it a point to leave feedback for buyers and sellers alike. But this has not always been reciprocated. Please be kind and take a few seconds to leave feedback for ANY transactions that are processed by me, or any other person you do a transaction with. This way you can express with honesty and confidence - (good or bad), about your buying/selling experience, for everyone to see !! (thanks !!)

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BIDDING !!!!!!!!!
