Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Verve deep groove gatefold MONO vinyl LP V-8474 (Van Gelder stamped in dead wax both sides) - released 1962
EX vinyl may have been played once or twice previously. Retains nice shine and gloss. Side one has a few vinyl inherent marks, none of which effect sound quality. Play tested once on NAD C555 turntable revealed bright clear analogue sound throughout. Laminated gatefold cover EX with straight broad spine and seams. Light ring wear on rear panel. Small stub lower left rear corner. Interior bone white with firm spine hinge. Opted not to photograph interior to avoid compromising spine hinge.
