ROULETTE 33 RPM record #-R-25004 -JIMMY BOWEN
by -JIMMY BOWEN The record rates V+ (THIS ITEM HAS SOME SURFACE SCRATCHES AND A LITTLE BIT OF WEAR ON SOME OF THE STRONGER VOCAL AREAS BUT FOR MY TASTE IT IS NOT TO BAD AT ALL. DEFINITELY A TOUGH DISC TO FIND. THE SLEEVE IS CLEAN BUT THERE IS A THUMB TACK HOLE NEAR THE MIDDLE OF THE RECORD. I SUSPECT THIS RECORD WAS PLAYED AND KEPT SOMEWHERE WHILE THE SLEEVE WAS TACKED TO A WALL. THERE IS ALSO A PASTEOVER CREASE BUT THE SLEEVE ITSELF IS NOT CREASED. NO SPLITS OR WRITING.) This record came from the personal collection of Mr Bill Dalton who was the one time guitar player for the Royal Teens whose famous song Short Shorts was a huge hit. Mr Dalton was the guitar player at the time the song was recorded. Bill is credited for mimicking the whistle sound on guitar for that song. He lived in Ashton and recently passed away. I was able to obtain items from his collection.
