Description
Here is a gem for the avid record collector. Original first pressing of the 1968 Jimi Hendrix UK gatefold double LP "Electric Ladyland" Track Records #613008/9 with the extremely rare blue text and the inverted matrix numbers on the labels. I purchased this record in 1968 when I was working at a record store that handled imported records. It is from my personal collection.
Matrix numbers: The records are pressed with Side A & D together, Side B & C together. Side A 613008 A // 1 (scratched out and corrected in runoff track); Side D 613008 B // 1 (scratched out and corrected in the runoff track); Side B 613009 A // 1 (scratched out and corrected in the runoff track); Side C 613009 B // 1 (the entire printed matrix number is scratched out and hand written in the runoff track).
Both records are in the original poly lined paper sleeves; the vinyl is in "NM-" condition with only a few paper scuffs visible; the jacket is in "EX" condition with minor ringwear (more visible on the rear cover), shelfwear on the bottom edge and corners and white scuff marks on the back cover.
Vinyl grading is based on the Goldmine standard as follows:
“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.
“M” Mint - a near perfect or unplayed record.
“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.
EX+ - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
EX - a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.
