I have been collecting records for almost 50 years and now it is time to sell some of my collection. I have always tried to collect the best possible vinyl available, always upgrading as I went along. A lot of the LPs I will be listing are still in FACTORY SRINKWRAP with many being virtually unplayed and in mint- condition. All of the LPs that I list will be in at least excellent condition or better
Up for bid is this OUTSTANDING MEGA RARE ORIGINAL UK 1st STEREO pressing of Jimi Hendrix's LP "Axis Bold as Love" on the Track record label cat # 613 003 and is in MINT- CONDITION. What makes this LP really special is that is 1st pressed in MEGA RARE STEREO! This is almost impossible to find on this LP! when this LP was first released in the UK back in 1967, nearly every 1st pressing was made in common MONO- with VIRTUALLY NONE IN MEGA RARE STEREO AT ALL! Demand for stereos was so absolutely tiny in 1967, that most shops didn't even stock stereos as standard, they were only available by SPECIAL ORDER ONLY!. What makes this copy even rarer is that it is the EARLISET 1st PRESSING YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET (PRESSED WAY BEFORE RELAESE!) WITH AN ULRA RARE "117" (NOVEMBER 1967) DATE CODED INNER SLEEVE , CLEARLY SHOWING THAT THIS LP WAS MADE 1 MONTH BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE OF DECEMBER 1967. This LP is 100% complete with the MEGA RARE LYRIC INSERT that only came with the first 2000-3000 copies
The cover is in MINT- condition. I can't use MINT because it is 47 years old and has been handled but is as good as the day that it was bought. It has a PERFECT SPINE, SEAMS, AND EDGES AND FAULTLESS LAMINATE AND IS VERY CRISP ON OPENING! This cover also contains the VERY RARE STEREO STICKER.
The labels are in MINT- and Excellent++ condition with one having the letters SEL in black ink. There is 1 spindle mark on one side and 2 spindle marks on the other side, clearly showing that this record has only been played 2 times before my test play, AMAZING after 47 years!
The 1st press STEREO vinyl is in MINT- condition, with unbelievable shine and no marks whatsoever. The audio play back is a STUNNING MINT-!
The MEGA RARE ORGINAL 1st press lyric insert is in MINT- CONDITION with NO marks, NO creasing, NO folds, and NO pinholes. This insert has clearly never left the cover. The person I purchased this from had 30 of these inserts before finding this one. This has to be one of the best inserts available today.
The MEGA RARE EARLIEST 1st press poly lined date coded inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
