Description
This is another of my own small collection of original Lp's. This is an original UK first issue 1972, Chrysalis, CHR 1003, with the Island logo, and Radial Text in white at the head of the labels. It was only the First Uk release that has this text on the label.
Purchased by myself when it first released, this is a superb Lp.. In very decent condition, with the "newspaper" all there and in decent order. There are some creases to it, and the bottom edge of the Lp cover is starting to fray a little, but for a 1972 first edition is in very nice condition.
There are a few faint scratches on the Lp itself, but NO deep ones or gouges etc. I no longer have a player, but would have thought that this will play very well indeed.
Not common now these first edition Lp's and one in a tidy decent condition like this one are rarer still.
I will list this at a reasonable starting price and will happily look at offers for it, but only in excess of the starting price.
Will be posted the same day for a purchase made before 2pm, and next day if its after this cut off point, and will be properly packed in an LP mailing box to get to you in good order.

Notes
This is the earliest UK issue, with the Island logo & radial text in white at the head of the labels. The 12-page newspaper gatefold-style sleeve has a heavyweight card construction of the record pocket, unlike later issues using a lighter card stock (which also have the same labels & later labels). Consequently, there is a noticeable paper weight difference between the 2 sleeve versions. The Chrysalis imprint appears on page 12.
Later repress (2nd press) issues do not have the Island imprint on the labels
