JAMES RIVERS – “Thrill Me” (1972?) JB’s Records-101 original pressing M-/EX (cover/record)

Killer private press New Orleans funk album by the great saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist James Rivers. This is his much sought-after and rare debut produced by local legend Senator Jones, and it has some massive grooves like “Funky Too,” “Thrill Me,” “ Balls of Funk,” “Keep It Comin’” and others. Totally amazing cover photo too. These are so tough to find, and this is his rarest and best album.

This is an original pressing. The cover is basically in perfect condition with one lightly crinkled corner at the lower front left. It’s barely noticeable. The vinyl is glossy and clean and just has a few sleeve scuffs. A really nice copy. Conservative grading: M-/EX (cover/record).

Winner pays postage. Domestic U.S. shipping is $4 media rate or $10 for priority mail (insurance additional and quoted at cost). International first class shipping (7-10 day delivery) varies by postal zone. Please see the listing for specific costs.

I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
