JAMES MOODY: "JAMES MOODY'S HI FI PARTY" LP - On PRESTIGE Records, PRLP 7011. Original 1955 MONO 1st pressing with the classic Yellow & Black labels and the 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address on both labels. The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides. RVG etched in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick cardboard "FRAME" cover. The personnel: James Moody/tenor & alto saxes; Dave Burns/trumpet; William Shepherd/trombone; Pee Wee Moore/baritone sax; Jimmy Boyd/piano; John Lathan/bass; Clarence Johnson/drums; Eddie Jefferson/vocals. The vinyl is in EX+ to NM condition with a high luster!! The thick cover is in superb shape, displays wonderfully. There is a very small ink mark on back at top right corner. No seam splits, no cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. The songs are: There Will Never Be Another You; Hard To Get; Disappointed; Big Ben; Show Eyes; Little John; And You Called My Name; Little Ricky.
