ARTIST: James Burton TITLE: James Burton LABEL: A&M Records (SP-4293)
CONDITION: (NM/VG) Album is in excellent condition with minimal sign of play at all; unscathed and minty! The sleeve has some signs of shelf wear and is in VG condition with bottom edge wear and beginnings of about an inch-long seem split (please inspect pictures). A&M inner sleeve is here but vinyl is housed separately in a poly inner sleeve. NOTES: This album is interesting if only for the fact that JB has played with and for the likes of Elvis Presley, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings. He is an unsung hero of some of the absolute best rock and roll of any era. This solo album showcases his impressive guitar abilities and range as well as his studio expertise. The album takes off from 0-60 with a fast paced fuzzed-out instrumental of Polk Salad Annie! Its one of those albums that once the last song on side two ends you say to yourself "...Wow! what did I just hear, let me flip it and listen again...and again...." I spent a full afternoon listening to it over and over, and it has gotten better and better with each listen. Baby not included!
