Description
Wow - a Holy Grail if you are a soundtrack or early rock 'n' roll collector! This is JAMBOREE! - The Complete Score of Warner Bros. Fabulous New Musical. Disc has no catalog number on label, just JAM 1 and JAM 2 stampers in the trail-off area. (See pics) As front cover states, this is a "Disc Jockey Copy - NOT FOR SALE". Disc was never released into production - probably because of all the different labels represented by the various artists. Artists include: Lewis Lymon & The Teenchords, Paul Carr, Slim Whitman, The Four Coins, Count Basie, Martha Lou Harp, Jimmy Bowen, Buddy Knox, Fats Domino, Connie Francis, Andy Martin, Carl Perkins, Frankie Avalon, Charlie Gracie, Jodie Sands, Jerry Lee Lewis and Ron Coby. Jerry Lee Lewis performs an alternate version of Great Balls of Fire on here - very cool. Outer jacket is quite clean as you can see on front and back with just the lightest hints of shelfwear. There is the start of a seam split on top edge and a corner ding to lower left front. (See close-up pictures). Very presentable. Disc comes in an inner glassine type jacket and is in great shape. Original deep groove yellow-label with Warner Bros. logos on front and back. Nice and clean. Just a couple small spindle marks on each side. Disc itself is very nice as well and an easy VG+ overall. Side 1 is actually better than that and looks to be an easy VG++ with just some tiny handling marks keeping it from NM-. Side 2 is a VG+ with just a couple surface marks noted and none should adversely impact play on this disc. This is the original and not a re-issue. It is a rare disc in wonderful shape. Do not let it pass you by. I hate to part with it, but I've got some Christmas shopping to do... A good value! Good luck to all bidders and enjoy! Free insured shipping to the winning bidder!
