Description Of Item For Sale: 1971 U.K.Original Gatefold LP with the Original Swirl innersleeve and the 1st press Swirl labels.
Condition:
Sleeve- Excellent,Very Sturdy,no rips of splits or scribbles.Although not immediately obvious,there are some light stains,maybe removable.They arrived before I got this record,but I have seen similar and I believe they are splatters of beer which flew through the air when a fizzy can was opened.I guess this as I have done it myself in the past on a Debbie Harry Poster(beer stains I promise),not immediately obvious,not a differnnt colour from the surrounding area,just a water mark type stain.
Vinyl- Excellent.I can't see any deep scratches,Side b has 3 lery light scratches/surface marks.I runs from inside the run off area and travels across the 4th and 5th track,but is a broken line so misses some of the playing surface,and I ever heard anything from this line.The other 2 marks,all but 1 mm stay inside the run off area.Across this shiny vinyl,there are some extremely light paper marks in a couple of places,nothing easy to spot.Record plays lovely.There are one or two very light clicks in places,which is why I never added a + to the Excellent,just to be on the safe side.Generally sound is of high quality.
Labels- Excellent+,nice and clean with little signs of any use.I have had this record about 5 years,today is only the second time I have played it.
Innersleeve-Excellent,no scribbles,splits or rips.Shows signs of age,but is generally in nice condition.
Extra Items,e.g.Poster,Insert-NONE.
All Items are Graded As In The Record Collector 2006 Price Guide,in Brief these grades are as folows:
Mint-Unplayed,sealed or as good as an unplayed undamaged item,.
Excellent-Some signs the record has been played,very little lessening in sound quality.Cover/Packaging might have slight wear/creasing.
Very Good-Been Played many times,no major deterioration in sound,despite noticeable surface marks,occational light scratch.Normal wear & tear on the cover or extra items,without major defect is acceptable.
Good-Played so much,used so much,sounds bad,many problems such as splits,stains etc.
Fair-Just Playable-not nice.
