I'm selling my GENUINE copy of Iron Maidens first ever demo release, 1979s 'The Soundhouse Tapes'. This is the ultimate collectible for any Iron Maiden fan - it's where 30+ years of musical wizardry started, and signifies the birth of the Worlds greatest metal outfit. Own this, and you own a piece of musical history
It's with a heavy heart that I'm forced to sell this item, but changes in circumstances mean that I need to raise some money. I don't particularly want to sell, but I have little choice. Anyway....
Side 1 is etched with - *EG* SA ROK-1-A LYN 7627-IT
Side 2 is etched with - *EG* SA ROK-1-B LYN 7628-IT
This is a genuine copy, hence the asking price. This is NOT one of the many cheap bootlegs floating around eBay for much less money
As far as the vinyl goes - I played it once when I first bought it (must be around 8 years ago now) and it played beautifully. I've not played it since in fear of scratching it - in which time it has barely left its protective plastic sleeve - so I can only presume it still plays as well as it did all that time ago
There is some creasing at the top of the sleeve, from where the vinyl has been repeatedly removed from its casing [See picture ref. A]. There is also wear at the bottom of the sleeve, where the vinyl has slightly cut it's way through the cardboard sleeve over time [See picture ref. B]. This sounds bad, but its just a small tear along the crease at the bottom of the sleeve about 10mm long - its not noticeable unless you look for it
Much to my annoyance, the previous owner also wrote 'PAT' (presumably his name) on both the sleeve and the vinyl. Again, see the pictures for evidence of this
I would say that for the age of this vinyl, the sleeve is in decent condition. It is not mint condition, but it is not in bad condition either. I've highlight the above negatives because I pride myself on being honest and don't want to sell this item under false pretences
Due to it's value, the vinyl will need to be signed for upon delivery and will also be insured in the event of damage or loss. For this reason, shipping to the UK will cost £10, and International shipping will cost £15 (I am not making any profit from these prices)
I have advertised this listing elsewhere, and reserve the right to close the auction early should it sell
