Welcome to the Auction that starts the selling off of my entire collection of Iron Maiden vinyl. I am selling this cornerstone of my collection with a tear in my eye. Anyway, to the details.
This 7" vinyl is Iron Maidens self financed EP, The Soundhouse Tapes. Recorded in December 78 and pressed in 79, in a quantity of 5000, it was originally sold at gigs or by mail order. I obtained my copy from a collector and it had been very well looked after.
This copy is in superb condition for a 26 year old record. The sleeve is an original sleeve, made of card, with a top opening and cut out. The seams are also on the outside of the sleeve. It has a small tear above the N in Iron that measures about 2 millimeters. All four corners and the bottom edge have some light scuffing on the edges. There are also some light creases at the top. There are no split seams. The vinyl is also original with the markings in the run off groove being *EG* SA LYN7627-IT ROK-1-A & ROK-1-B LYN7628-IT *EG* SA. It has some light hair marks on both sides, nothing really serious. Both sides still have a clean look. The labels are both clean with the only problem being a small scratch on the A side about 3 millimeters long next to the N in Iron and above the E in Maiden.
I do not have a record player and have never listened to this record, so I do not know if there is any noise during playing, but with this item being a serious collectors item, would it matter?
The postage costs are 6GBP for postage anywhere in the world by Registered Post that should require a signature upon receipt of the parcel. Within Australia, the postage costs will be less and will be offered a discounted price.
