Description
Iron Maiden "The Soundhouse Tapes", original 1979 British issue on Rock Hard records, ROK 1. The matrices are: *EG* SA LYN 7627 IT (barely legible) ROK-1.A and LYN 7628 IT (almost invisible) *EG* SA ROK-1-B.
This copy has been signed by Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Paul Di'Anno, Dennis Stratton and Clive Burr. I bought this from the person who had obtained the signatures, he did tell me exactly when and where they were obtained unfortunately I've had the record for some years and have totally forgotten the provenance although based on who signed it would have been done in very late '79 or '80. I bought it believing the signatures are genuine and still hold that view, but prospective buyers should use their own judgment and reach their own conclusion.
Side A has several small faint marks, side B has several small faint marks and a few very light scratches including an approximately 10mm radial that goes across the last 5mm of the playing surface, this is the only mark that can be felt. I play graded it using headphones and a Roksan Xerxes 10, both sides have a hint of surface noise at the beginning, this very quickly disappears as the music gets going, "Prowler has some slight surface noise during the quieter parts and between the two tracks, neither side has any jumps, clicks, pops or other nasties, a decent and enjoyable playing copy.
The front sleeve has some creasing, very slight ring wear and a touch of wear to the corners. Rear sleeve has more obvious creasing, worse ring wear and a date written in Biro.
Both labels are excellent.
