Introducing The Beatles VJ STEREO AD BACK VERSION 1 LP

Exceedingly rare authentic Vee Jay jacket & stereo disc

Exeedingly rare original Introducing The Beatles Version 1 STEREO AD-BACK LP with original stereo disc. Author/Researcher Bruce Spizer has determined that only 2,202 stereo copies of the version 1 Introducing The Beatles LP were manufactured, those were either pressed with ad-back or blank back covers making the ad-back or blank back LP's exceedingly rare.
Additionally, version one LP's are also quite rare in and of themselves as just after Vee Jay manufactured the first pressings, litigation by the music publisher immediately caused Vee Jay to halt production on them and two of the album tracks ("Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" were replaced by "Ask Me Why" and "Please Please Me") which were then released on the less rare second version of the LP.
Introducing The Beatles is known widely as one of the most counterfeited vinyl LP's of all time. This one offered up for auction is 100% authentic in every way.
Without getting into paragraphs of details about authenticity, here is a small list showing a few pertinent facts regarding  the characteristics this original Vee Jay pressing of Introducing the Beatles LP's.
• The jacket has 1/4 inch flaps at the top and bottom inside the sleeve at the mouth (see photos). Only original jackets have them.
•  Stereo ad-backs covers have the "Printed In U.S.A." text by the bottom left hand edge on the front of the jacket.
•  The colors and lines on the front of this jacket are vivid and not in any way  blurred or washed out. Just about all counterfeits have slight to moderate or worse blurring on the cover photo.
•  The disc's labels both have the words "The Beatles" printed printed ABOVE the spindle hole. Many counterfeits have "The Beatles" printed below the spindle hole.
•  The disc's labels have the word "STEREO" printed on them. No counterfeit disc has "STEREO" printed on the labels.
• The  heavy weight disc (145 grams) has the machine stamped AUDIO MATRIX and machine stamped circled MR logo (for Monarch Records) on both sides in the dead wax areas. Most counterfeit discs are very light weight and no counterfeit has the machine stamped AUDIO MATRIX logo and machine stamped MR logos.

Grading:
Jacket: (Very Good):  The stereo ad-back jacket is in solid VG (very good) condition. It is very clean on the front and back with light rubbing wear. There is  NO ink, NO marker and NO writing. There is also NO seam splits, NO stickers, NO glue reside and NO ringwear. It does have light wear on the bottom and top edges. The mouth is clean. Both bottom corner and the top right corner are lightly worn. There is some light paper loss by the bottom right corner/seam. The spine is mostly really nice with legible printing. The top section near and on the corner has some heavy paper flaking/loss but it is not split. It is really an excellent looking  jacket!
Disc (labels): (Good/Good): Both disc labels show a a lot of usage wear but NO writing, NO stickers, NO glue and NO residue.
Disc (vinyl): (Fair minus/Fair minus):  The disc is heavyweight and looks heavily played. The disc is NOT broken, NOT chipped  and NOT warped but there are heavy signs of wear (lots of scratches though none of the scratches look very deep). It is in fair condition at best. If you are looking for a nice piece of vinyl, this one is not it.
The faded white inner sleeve is included.

Grading: We are conservative graders and try to be as concise and as accurate as possible without a lot of the standard hype.  We will never explain the condition of an item by saying it "looks good for something this old" as we consider that patronizing and an insult to potential buyers. Please ask us questions about any details about the item before bidding.

Shipping:
Packaging: All items are professionally packaged with high quality unused materials for shipment. No items will ever be loose in their shipping cartons. Records that are not sealed in their original shrink-wrap will never be shipped in their original jackets.
