Description

Presented to you for your consideration is an Extremely Rare "Version One Stereo Ad Back" of Introducing the Beatles
This is the first version of this album containing Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You, which was withdrawn after only a few weeks on sale since Vee-Jay didn't own the rights to those two songs. Because only about 2200 Stereo Version One copies were originally manufactured in 1963, less than 1000 of these were the "Ad Back" version, which is considered to be one of the "HOLY GRAILS" to Beatles collectors.
This awesome copy features the "Ad Back" on the back cover consisting of 25 other Vee-Jay albums released at the time. "Printed in the U.S.A." is present on the far lower left side of the front cover which is unique to Version One Copies.
The Album Cover is still enclosed in its original Sears Roebuck and Co. outer wrapping which has nicely preserved it for the past 60 years. One note, the outer wrapping seems to be sticking to part of the back cover which prevents it from being easily removed. Perhaps some sort of method could be used to release the plastic enough for the cover to be removed , if desired. I would grade the Cover at a VG+. All Seams are Intact and No Ring Wear.
The Record is a Matching Version One Stereo LP, the Playback on this Record Sounds Great !
In the Runout area, lightly etched on Side 2, there is a date of 6-28-63, there are also Runout Numbers - Side One - 63-3402S and Side Two is 63-3403S
New White Sleeve and Clear Plastic Sleeve Included
